Supporting IOM Government Employees get active with Activ8

Are you an employee of the Isle of Man Government and work for a department enrolled in the Activ8 programme? The Lighthouses Challenge is delighted to be supporting the programme for 2023 with a challenge to support you and your wellbeing!

Why not get involved in a new challenge and enjoy riding your bike at a pace that suits you and on any bike that suits you, be that an ebike, mountain bike, road bike, indoor bike or turbo trainer? This is an ideal challenge for employees who are looking for that big summer challenge be it for improving your health and lifestyle or trying something new.

There are 3 routes you can set yourself a goal of completing!

Route 1: Quarter Circle p/b DotPerformance 18 miles here
Route 2: Half Circle 51 miles here
Route 3: Full Circle 100 miles either on your own or why not team up with 4 of your colleagues and ride it together info here

Virtual Activ8 Challenge*!

All you have to do is complete the distance of your chosen challenge by riding your bike between 3rd April and 30th June in your own time at distances that suit you! You don't need to complete it all at once, you pick the route you want to ride and the time you want to ride for - you could choose to ride to work, go for a lunch time ride or go out after work as the nights start to get lighter! Or you could choose to do it in your own home on your in door bike.

How do I sign up?

Once you have picked a challenge that's right for you, simply register by emailing activ8lighthouses@gov.im by Friday 30th March.   Once you have completed your chosen route, email activ8lighthouses@gov.im to receive your special Zurich Lighthouses Challenge Certificate!

Remember, you must complete your virtual challenge between 3rd April and 30th June to be eligible!

Safety

The Activ8 Group strongly recommends that you wear a helmet at all times and ensure your bike is in good working order and that you follow the Highway code at all times when riding on the open road.

Sign up and take part in the main event on Sunday 2 July!
